My Only Friend, The End

This shirt by Hometown Heroes (?? I’m unfamiliar with this label) is on sale at Urban Outfitters. Uh, I kinda dig it. Since it straight-up pulls inspiration / imagery from one of my fave artists, Ed Ruscha:
This version is my favorite Ruscha piece of all time.
I’m really into the “The End” pieces he did. I even used this as my wordpress page icon:
Despite the hopeless devotion to The End by Ruscha, I’m not so sure about this rip-off shirt. Something about the execution makes it look too…Ed Hardy, not Ed Ruscha. Gothic script on a t-shirt is overdone these days. Sad.
