Alright, alright.
I’ll take flack for this post. It’s been a month since the video’s initial release, which makes this topic an old bag. And it’s not like Lady GaGa needs any MORE press, but c’mon.
The video for “Bad Romance” is awesome.
I know. Can we still be friends?
Firstly, the video is directed by Francis Lawrence, who is, like, the shit. I know that I AM LEGEND and CONSTANTINE kind of suck, but they are GORGEOUS films. His work in music videos is also really impressive.
Secondly, Alexander McQueen S/S 2010 RTW is REPRESENTED. HARD. What’s not to like? Fish shoes! DIVINITY!
GaGa premiered this video at McQueen’s show, naturally.
Thirdly, importantly: the production design in this video is beautiful. Described as a “futuristic Russian bath house”, the main set is a damn good derivative of the 2001: A Space Odyssey final bedroom set.
I wish I knew who production designed this video. So far, the Haus of GaGa is credited with the art direction of the Russian bath house…which is fine and all, but really, who built this beauty?
Can’t get this song out of my head. It’s been 4-6 weeks. Help.
