Draped in Neo-Noir

Spring-Summer Science-Fiction.

Style.com keeps referencing AVATAR as an influence to the designers, but you know…I see Rachael / Replicant style influencing some of these collections. Strong shoulders, Frank Lloyd Wright-esque patterns and texture, shiny and dark and a bit cyberpunk…very cinematic, theatrical stuff!

Armani Privé

The moon is the theme in this S/S 2010 collection. Um, obviously? The final products are dazzling though!

Perfect for a dystopian Los Angeles in 2019. I mean, 2010.

Dig the accessories / shoes too:

Valentino, Chanel, Alexis Mabille, Givenchy –

Givenchy

Givenchy is probably my favorite big label now. Riccardo Tisci is pretty goth. Loving this masculine-feminine series:

This reminds me of the neon-gilt streets in BR…(I’m obsessed)

I need a sheer cape.

Architecture influences…

“Can I get that Tyrell Corporation jumpsuit please?”

Givenchy never disappoints with shoes, either:

Alexis Mabille

Favorite. I’m in line to dye half of my head/hair a primary color now.

Graphic, modern-pop Queen of Hearts…that’s what popped in my head, looking at these garments and hairstyles.

Classic, simple gown with punk-rock blue hair!

I think Leeloo Dallasmultipass would love this dress.

Valentino

Of course, the accessories / shoes are amazing, again:

The garments are impressive. The “new” Valentino is starting to have a real personality and identity.

Awesome. No sunglasses for me – just a swath of sheer fabric over me eyes, k thanks.

Reminds me of this episode of Aeon Flux (animated) where people kept getting this virus that made their veins pop out. Cool!

Chanel

“It’s the first time in my whole career I’ve done a collection without black or navy. There’s not one gold button.” – Karl Lagerfeld

I have to admit: I MISS the black and the navy and the gold buttons. But I love the Hello Kitty super kawaaaaiiiii hairstyles! The detailing is amazing, and of course – the Karl gloves. The shoes are very sci-fi amazing too:

Oh. Want. WANT.

Love the bit of black that appeared on the runway.

Aw!

But this bridal couple really did Wow everyone…

Dior did a great collection, unrelated to this sci-fi bit I’m running on. I HAVE to post some of the shoes from Dior because they are SO damn good-looking.

Super gorgeous satin.

These Victorian-button equestrian boots! THESE!
